I’m Ashley Huster, one of the owners of Blend Salon. I’ve been behind the chair since 2014, and working in a salon since I was 15. Crazy enough, I got my first job in high school as a shampoo tech! I met my business partner, Kelsey, at Harford Tech, where I went to school for cosmetology. We instantly connected and became the best of friends. It’s crazy to think about how much we would talk in cosmetology class about how our goal was to open our own salon one day, and 7 years after graduating, we made it a reality. The only reward I received at my senior awards ceremony was the gold cosmetology award of my class, not one single reward for academics, NOT SURPRISED!

I knew in the 7th grade when I applied for Harford Tech, that school and studies weren’t for me – I was ready to work. I became a stylist at a local salon in Bel Air at the age of 17. I put my heart and soul into learning the craft and pushed myself to become the best. After working in two salons with 6 years of behind-the-chair-life, I realized I wasn’t meant to be an employee. My drive for success was greater than anyone could provide to me. I saw something so much bigger than being content. I saw something that no one could create or fulfill for me. Without my support of my loving friends and family, 2 beautiful golden doodles and amazing fiancé, I would be no where near where I am today.

On my off time you can find me relaxing with a margarita in hand and my dogs on my lap! I absolutely love traveling to tropical islands, working out and shopping!!! If you're my client, you know how I roll – I’m an all or nothing kinda chick... and with that being said, everyone has a different vision of success, and mine has just started. Thank you to those who continue to support us and help us follow our dreams, words cannot be formed for what you all mean to us. We love you guys. I'll see you in my chair! Cant wait to hang out!
