Dimensional Colorist, Blonding and Brunette Specialist

I’m Samantha DiMattei-Blake, but everyone calls me Sammie. I’ve been a hairstylist for 10 years. Following high school I immediately started cosmetology school. While attending cosmetology school, I worked as a prestige consultant at Ulta beauty in Canton, helping customers with makeup & all things beauty related. After I received my cosmetology license, I transferred to The Salon at Ulta beauty. After working at Ulta beauty for 3 and a half years, I decided to open up my own salon suite with a partner in Federal hill. Ultimately, I made the choice to move to Baltimore County where I worked for a private salon. During this transition period, my passion for makeup became my predominant focus, and so while taking hair clients at my in home studio, I also began doing freelance makeup and wedding makeup for bridal companies.

Once I got married & moved to Harford County I realized I missed working in a salon full time. Now I’m expecting my first child and I look forward to navigating the balance of becoming a mother and a stylist. Being a positive role model to my future daughter is my main motivation. Making others feel and look beautiful has always been a immense passion of mine and the opportunity to express myself through my work makes me the happiest. 

Away from the chair, you can find me performing at live music venues, Horseback riding and shopping with my sister, cooking my Italian families favorite recipes, traveling with my husband and taking my Aussiedoodle “Dolce”everywhere I can with me.
