Salon Assistant, Co-Stylist

I’m Shelby Dumer, an assistant at Blend Salon. I’ve always found myself drawn to hair and the creative freedom it allows as a form of self-expression, which is why I pursued my education right out of high school. After earning my license, I began working at my first salon as a stylist, but I quickly felt motivated to push myself further and learn from some of the best in luxury hair. That drive ultimately led me to Blend, where I’m able to grow, refine my craft, and live out my passion every day.

I truly love making people feel beautiful, and I take great pride in educating myself so I can create custom looks that complement each client’s unique features and lifestyle. Building genuine relationships is just as important to me as the work itself—I love connecting with my clients, having meaningful conversations, and creating lasting bonds. I deeply care about every person who trusts me with their hair, and my goal is always to make them feel confident, valued, and heard.

In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my friends, especially boating in the summer, shopping, going to the beach, and soaking up a good tan. I also cherish slower moments at home with my family, relaxing and watching movies together. I feel incredibly blessed to be welcomed into such an elevated salon surrounded by talented, successful women in this industry, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for me here at Blend Salon.
